Maori Rotation
On Monday we had wiki o te reo Māori from Monday to Wednesday. We do it after lunch time, we do maori stuff and we are learning about weather and months of the year all in te reo Māori and then we had to swap activities everytime the bell rang. We had different groups like rimu tahi and rimu rua. Its really cool doing aori. I enjoyed doing Māori with our teachers. My favorite was with Whaea Beaks she was teaching tititorea it is a stick game it's cool.

Technology
A few weeks ago Te Ngahere were doing technology. I am making a candle holder to sell for our camp next term. We are going to make the candle holders out of pallets. First we had to take the pallet apart and then pull the nails out of the wood. Then we had to sand the wood to make it smooth. Then we had to swap around so everyone had a turn at everything. Then our teacher Whaea Beaks has some candles at her place. Matua Pep is helping us do our project and he is very helpful. We have different groups and we go out at the same time. It is very cool I really like this project.

Garbage Patch
We have been doing stuff about the great pacific garbage patch it has a lot of rubbish.
There are some scientist that clean up the rubbish,
they have big boats that have nets behind them that grabs heaps of rubbish.
There is so much rubbish that it covers 1.6 million km, the size of the garbage patch is three Frances.
The garbage patch has 1.8 trillion pieces of plastic that is 250 pieces of plastic for everyone in the world.
I don't feel good about having that much rubbish. There should be a law that everyone in the world picks
up 250 pieces of rubbish a day to keep everything nice and healthy.

Animation
In Te Ngahere we have been making animations about food chains.
It took a really long time to make my animation because I was a single pringle.
But I got it finished, that’s the best part. It got very confusing when I had to start over my Screencastify.

Yesterday in Te Ngahere we were learning about our poems and how to use metaphors.
Our Walt was to use language features appropriately showing a developing understanding of effect.
We had to write about ourselves in descriptive words we were not allowed to use similes.
I would add more descriptive words in my poem. This is my first draft.

My Pepeha Blog Post
My Pepeha
In Te Ngahere we have been learning how to say write and share our Visual Pepeha in front of our class. We have been adding new information. We had to say our Visual Pepeha confidently and know it off by heart. I have enjoyed doing my blog post. I want to learn how to say it in 1 year without looking at my Pepeha.
